Victim.

I don't have a picture for this poem. This theme doesn't have pleasant pretty pictures. I wrote it when I read the stories of women who had been 'groomed' or who had no value in society. You can read many things into it but basically these are women who have no voice and live in fear.

Victim
Warm flesh
marinated in cheap vodka
then
slowly smoked in dope
tenderised and
placed on the side to mature.
A piece of meat
to be passed around
unreguarded,
unnoticed,
unloved,
a victim.

Victim.
Groomed, placid cows,
providing a service
for the gangs,
for the rituals,
Voiceless Victims.

Quarry.
Caught in traps,
social abattoirs
where females are culled,
carved up for life,
suffering for their sex
spending their lives as
Voiceless victims.
